I think that everyone should do the universal Loving Kindness meditation. It would bring more peace and harmony to the world. It doesn't focus just on one person it focuses on everyone. I think the area that I need more growth and development in is spiritual. I need to really sit down and figure out what is right for me. What will take me to that next level. I think some exercises that I can do is to meditate more to get deeper in myself to find what it is I am looking for.

I couldn't agree more with you in regards to encouraging everyone to do the Loving-Kindness meditation. If everyone did this exercise; the flow and aura of the world would be more peaceful and without conflict. Taking yourself to the next level of spiritual growth will create an even better outlook on life than you have now:-) Being at peace within is an ultimate gift.
ReplyDeleteTina I really like how you put it, that practice not only helps us but helps us to better all of our relations. Also me and you both need help in that department, but honestly who doesn't?

Tina,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you as well. I think that one of the root problems in our country is chronic selfishness and lack of concern for others. By taking a few moments a day to focus on the greater good and others' needs, it forces you to put your own needs, wants and desires into a more appropriate perspective. You're right- if everyone did it, it probably couldn't help but bring greater peace and harmony to the world!
I am a huge fan of this meditation. It brings so many wonderful thoughts to my very body, I can feel areas of my body respond to the sentences. taking the time to do these exercises would definitely make a difference in someone's life.
